  • Iowa Passed Gay Marriage Legislature

On Friday Gay Marriage Legislature was passed in Iowa, rendering it legal by the State's supreme court. According to a blog I found, California will in 2010, and it is projected that by 2024 it will be legal in all 50 states. It even has a color coded map for those of us who are visual! As expected, New England is the forerunner, and the last states proposed to accept it are most southern areas, with the exception of Florida, which is no surprise.

Do you think Gay Marriage will be accepted into the law of all 50 states by 2024?

No worries, and thanks! No, I actually took it in the hallway :)

Dear Amber:  If it happens, it'll be by judicial fiat.  Even in liberal states, voters reject it everytime it comes up on the ballot.  If it weren't for activist courts, it would have already ceased to be a viable issue.  The liberals HAVE to push it, though, because they've committed their political capital to it.  Just like global warming seminars... held during blizzards!  Once so committed- and no matter how inane or immoral the issue has become- they will pursue it at all costs.  Besides, liberals are psychologically adverse to admitting they were wrong on anything!
